JABEZ CLEGG GOES A BIT PAIR SHAPED

would like to apologise for being a cheap arse band who cant afford working equipment. However I would like to announce that my amp is currently being repaired and will be back to its usual PunK aS fuCk (c)Pugs 03 self by the 25th when we're supporting the WAYRIDERS at Jabez Clegg.

Massive thanks to everyone who came down an I hope you enjoyed it despite the technical difficulties.

The Roadhouse, Manchester

We've never had so much fun on stage than at the Roadhouse on the 14th, loads an loads of hugs an kisses to everyone who came down to see us your all "PUNK as FUCK" (c)Pugs 2003 The next planned gig is September 7th (we're doin another 12 festival, can't fuckin wait!) but we'll keep you posted on any new gigs so check back to see when we're next playin.

BAND ON THE WALL JUNE 24TH (WITH KUSHY)

We seem to have gotten into the habit of playing great shows after painfully average ones and this was no exeption. A strong and well delivered set played to one of the most godamn lovin crowds weve ever had. Thanks to everyone who came and some but less thanks to those who said they would but didnt. Bless ya!

THE WITCHWOOD 12TH JUNE (WITH TRIBUTE TO NOTHING AND KID CONSPIRACY)

Above all we played a competent set but by no means an exciting or heartfelt one. Due to exams/coursework etc. The usual crowd were unable to come and so it was difficult to get involved, especially with a crowd of five who had'nt come to see us. New tune was great to play live thou. Kid Conspiracy were amazing as usual.

MAYHEM N MISCHIEF 2003 (WITH GNARLY, PHOENIX, END OF 11, LONG TIME SPENT AND DROPDOWN)

An ambitious attempt by hosts Dropdown to pull off a credible mini-fest with no budget, more than paid off on this, the first Mayhem n Mischief. Compensating for inadequate equipment for such an event, both bands and audience made it a fantastic night by all accounts.

Openers Gnarly provided a welcome early blast of hardcore tinged pop punk to make sure everyone was paying attention, making Phoenix's relaxed indie swagger seem completely out of place. Next up End of 11's Offspring inspired punk japery was made all the more memorable by the lead singers impromptu nakedness. Long Time Spent were one of my highlights of the event, descimating all with a blend of just about everything you love about punk rock. Hosts Dropdown then epitomising the summer night in a laid back groove of funk fused riffery and impressive-as-ever melodies.

Then there was us to close everything up around 11:30, for everyone who stayed, admirably, for the long run. We've never had so much fucking fun on a stage, to say the least. In spite of a few balls ups to be expected of a band 6 weeks out of practise, we delivered a set often surpassing even our best previous gigs. Made all the while much more unforgettable by a fantastic audience who seemed to enjoy it just as much as we did. Even singing along to 'Best Friend' at one point (I had a tear). Mayhem n Mischief will be a gig to look out for every year mark my words. A perfect opening to our summer. Thanks again to all the bands and especially to Dropdown, for all the reasons above...
